Their defence is borderline offside for virtually every play the ball and as such is very vulnerable to a short kick behind it.

Hayes (If he plays?....He should IMHO) and Williams both have very good short kicking games, so we should be looking to utilise them.

No Vaughan, Musgrove and Currie - going to be extremely tough. Their bog of a pitch isn't going to help either.

Move the ball, but not recklessly. I'm not trailing over to St Helen's to see any Chris Bridge-style chip overs from our own 20; I am too old for that.

Looking forward to this one. Yes players out are not going to help but look, anything can happen in the cup games.

Hoping Philbin has game of his life and turns into James Fisher-Harris.

Haha just like any small time club would do. Get your excuses in before the game

Perhaps. But we won’t use them as excuses after the game.

That’s is what sets us apart from St Helens.

Always the victims, Robert Hicks fault.

To be fair, st Helen’s fans are too busy celebrating success to worry about the latest reason why it’s not Warringtons year.

But hey. If your happy that the pinnacle of your year will be an embarrassing stunt like bringing the matchball on via a radio controlled car or riding the coat tiles of a darts player who learned his craft in St Helens then fair play!

I like the idea that there's something innate about the St Helen's air (maybe it's the faint aroma of stale fags and pastry farts) that allows you to become good at darts; not just how well you throw them at the board.
