The Match Review Panel charged Miski, no mention of Moylan or Lam. It is simply not fit for purpose. I bet some players currently suspended, and sitting on the sidelines, are tearing their own hair out.

Got to the point where I’m happy to see any player get less than I would’ve expected. I’d rather focus on the ones that got too many, as was the case with Liam Byrne and Cam Smith (initially) last week.
There seemed to be a change of approach in the games this week, with the VR not falling for players lying down rubbing their heads and necks, so fair play to them for that. If that will be the consistent standard now I very much doubt but we can only hope it will be and if that goes hand in hand with less bans, we’ll be somewhere close to where we want to be.
I'm still largely confused by the rulings. Miski full pace he's committed and wraps arms at that stage he's so fully committed if he tries to pull out he probably makes worse contact. Nothing much in Lams tip and I'm happy to see these like Smith at season start have more leniency. Moylan no wrap leading very much like Watts did shoulder and arm but heavy mitigation as Field falls. I still don't get the Byrne and Lees bans, or should I say they should be the same if not reversed. If we say all head contact with poor technique is equal and mainly these days all are accidental. Then how is Byrne who envelops a player who is lowering body position 4 games, while Lees with no envelopment and stood tall 2? Both was with force and I get that years ago it's what fans wanted, both tackled player went for HIA's which is what all this is about. I didn't fully get the head contact thing but without mitigating factors it's more dangerous if anything and to both players. Any contact with shoulder to head now is a red and/or a suspension on review so I'm having all contacts are now mainly accidental with or without mitigation, a slip late movement or other players involvement lowering card or suspension.

I don’t even think it was a penalty never mind deserves a review, however may be a blessing in disguise. I think with the way he plays the game and the physicality he plays with a week or 2 off may freshen him up whilst also giving another opportunity for Eckersley to get some valuable experience.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

In Aus they are contemplating stopping the kick off after points are scored and giving the attacking team a tap on their own 20m line. This to stop the initial full on charge of the attacking player into the defensive line. The game is going crackers!!

I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that he needs his knee cleaning out. Regarding the penalty, let alone the fine, pathetic!
