With the reported departure of Tex Hoy and the presence of Walker, Litten and Moy, will his departure free up salary cap to be spent elsewhere? If so, where and who is available?

Another player who didn’t buy into The Culture ? Why didn’t he just bring his A game every week ? Likely why he didn’t get a proper playing gig in Australia
We must stop signing Aussies over aged 28 (excessive injuries) and those young players who can’t get a regular first team place ( Hoy Okynbur Pele)

That really limits the pool of players clubs could sign from the NRL, regular players under 26 are hardly likely to come over to SL, there isn't the salary cap space to entice them compared to the NRL.
Our best recruitment was Mini, Manu, Carlos, Pritchard and Fonua, all of those wouldn't have been signed with your rules.

From his first interview here, I never thought Hoy wanted to be here, was using us like Clifford to get some game time and get an NRL gig, he didn't perform like Clifford, so it didn't work out.
I think there is a good player there, but don't think his head and heart was ever in his move to Hull.
Hoy wasn't a Smith signing either, imagine had he not been signed, kept Connor and signed an overseas backrower.

Yep from what I hear Pearson needs a new lamp in his office and has planned in a trip to Disney land. We all know any money saved this year isn't going to be spent on improving the squad.

And he's still not talking to us. Pass renewal is going to plummet unless he gets his act together, and quickly.
For us to save cash to spend on another player then Tex either has to leave of his own accord, or be sacked.
Simply sacking somebody without a cast iron case is a foolish thing for us to do if we ever intend to ask a young man to travel around the world and play for us in the future - who would be prepared to take the risk ?
In addition, sacking somebody without very good reason is to invite all manner of breach of contract claims - it just makes no sense to take the legal/financial risk.
I rather suspect that "released" means they pay him his contract and he leaves.
If that is true, it does not save us a penny and means we are without the services of one of our better players.
