We'll never afford the Stadium under the current terms never mind the new contract due in three years. The club has always known under the old relegation format that we would never survive being relegated. We were told that at a fans forum years ago and again just before covid.
Agree, but the IMG system comes at a fortunate time, but the risk is with RL you can never guarantee what the format of the league will be for more than 5 minutes. In the last 15 years we've had licensing, promotion and relegation, super8s, and now licencing again.
Im still optimistic on the stadium deal though, the SMC dont have another 15 days worth of events to replace us with, for the council evicting a team supported by thousands and sending us to oblivion isnt a vote winner and for Hull City we currently add weight to their 'sporting village' plans

I was sat in the West Stand and at the end of the game I stayed behind to applaud Jack Charles and Logan May’s efforts. They were the last two coming off the pitch, graciously thanking the fans.
Then up the touchline walks Ligi Sao, after briefly seeing his family (no problem with that), he starts laughing and joking with a fan.
What an utter disgrace! Your team has just been thrashed again, 22-56 at home, you’ve received two yellow cards (3rd and 4th of the season) and you are laughing? You should be ashamed of yourself, you’ve just let your team mates, club and fans down and you obviously don’t give a s**t! You should be hurting, be ashamed and embarrassed, but instead you decide to have a laugh.
For me, that was a foul on Jake, the one that no one is mentioning is the immediate response by Sao that looked like a punch in the tackle on the Huddersfield player who received the pass. The second sin bin was rightly deserved too.
He’ll no doubt pick up yet another ban and presumably still expect to pick up his wages. This is a repetitive theme from Sao and he obviously doesn’t care about the Club or the fans that help pay his contract. That’s part of the cultural problem and after seeing him laughing, I’d be happy never to see him in a Hull shirt again.
The fans deserve better.
his agent had just told him hes got a extended contract
After the previous 50 pointer versus Huddersfield, they were all out on the lash in the old town, including Connor ! Think it was a Tag testimonial event but it still left a sour taste in my mouth.

Then move onto the playing squad, 12 departures at the end of last season including the 2 during, a few big earners on that list too i would assume, Taylor, Shaul, Satae, Griffin, Swift, Evans and Clifford with 7 new faces coming in, now if Pearson is claiming we are upto cap.....then he is either lying, which we all know he probably is, or the DJ needs sacking off for giving out ludricous contracts!

Uncle T speaks 'Tony Smith has conceded that he may have to 'try some different ways' to get Hull FC out of their current rut.' (does he have any ways left? surely he has tried everything already?)
'We look for excuses and short fixes, and they never work. It's about building resilience and tenacity.' (how long does he want? 7 years? same old story that's already got stale)
'Once again, we conceded an early try that straight away stems the flow of anything that you're building.' (sorry, is he really saying that conceding an early try kills the game plan for us?)
"Defence is our problem," Smith added (my favourite quote of the weekend)
"The defensive side of the game has been our focus for a long time" Smith declared (wow)

Just watched the first try by Swift Genius Jake C makes Cam Scott look like a pub amateur Ligi Sao is actually still getting back inside when Swift scores Sao missed the initial tackle and just cannot be assed to get back onside
Sao surely needs to go from playing in the World Cup to playing for the Reserves v Batley He’s so so lazy - he is the new Michael Smith We’re on the mickey - we’re on the mickey with Michael Smith
Sao - you’re robbing a wage and why can’t Smith see this ? Or would Smith have to admit he’s mis managed a World Cup player ?
