The amount of soft tries we concede is pathetic. Poor 1 on 1 misses shocking marker play, that's on the players not Rohan Smith for me this group of players mentality is soft and unless it switches we will continue to be a mid table team that coast through super league season after season.
However I think you can question Smith mentality as well, especially when it comes to team selection you can understand carrying a back on the bench incase of injury but when a winger gets injured and you have a winger on the bench I can not understand why you don't make that like for like change but instead put a prop on and make another 3 players movements within your team.
I think something will have to give in next few weeks both Smith and majority of the players need a massive switch in mentality and understand that rugby league is quite a simple game if you want to be successful, got off your line, whack hard and legally in defence, complete your sets, kick and pin your opponents in a corner and in attack run hard and be genuine options.
Well that was a proper spanking. But it’s been coming for a while now for me. We’ve got away with a few this season, either against poor or under par teams. Wire didn’t have to do too much to win comfortably.
I’ve been to 3 games this season and not really enjoyed any of them. Things will have to change for me to go again any time soon. And by that I mean the way we play. Rohan ball is not for me.
Bentley is a tigerish defender but he would have got smashed last night. The guy is just too small. Wire were gang tackling and pushing back much bigger lads than Bentley. McDonnell was probably our best last night and they sent a lot of traffic down his side.
In any case it isn’t RSs call that Bentley wasn’t in the side.
Looks like we’re going to get Fus back next game but lose Ash.
Wire really played at us, it’s alright saying they were ordinary but Williams is class and their pack is big and direct. Don’t think they made many mistakes and they just ground us out.

Their pack was missing their 3 biggest props Jim!!

If you watch the game back you’ll see our line speed in D wasn’t terrible all game. You’ll see that most Wire tries came directly from our errors.
We are gifting teams possession and position through errors. It could be argued that some of those errors are down to individuals trying to take on the entire opposition… but I just think we’re out of form right now.
Yes the coach is ultimately responsible for this and RS has work to do. We look like half the side needs a pre-season again already.
Expect Handley to be out for a while with ribs.
Once again I admire your optimism (genuinely) out of form ? We’ve never been in form this season. You will never win a majority matches with a lightweight set of forwards and a weak passive defence. Plus one halfback who is obviously not up to standard.

The booing has started, he will notice that, if we don’t win all of the next 3 games I’d expect him to make a change. The two after that are Catalans and Saints away, we will lose both of them, and shouldn’t wait until after that to make what is now an obvious decision.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

I think the booing at half time was mainly aimed at the ref. I was surprised how little booing was aimed at Smith when he was on the screen towards the end of the game. No doubt that will change.
Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.
