Warrington Brush Aside The Rhinos To Return To The Top When the just two points cover the top seven teams in the competition then many games become top of the table clashes and a Friday night encounter between the Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves at Headingley Stadium was one such occasion.
A big win for the Wolves, by a margin of more than twenty points, would see them back to the top of the table and while victory for the Rhinos would see them level with at least three other teams on points, they would need an unachievable winning margin of at least ninety-one points to overtake Wigan on points difference.
The bookies made the home side slight favourites for the win and handicapped them by four points on the coupon, it promised to be a close match between two sides who are still seeking some 2024 consistency.

Thought Warrington were okay. Trouble is, when you can only score eight and concede thirty odd to an okay side then it's shaping up to be a long old season

We have little chance of making the top 4 already and doubt we will make the Top 6 either, tonight was a bitter defeat all their trys were easy soft efforts to concede
Under coached, silly errors/ mistakes, short kick off stupidity, conceding 80m a set, playing all game in our 20, little go forward, no structure, light bench poorly used, more injuries or bans coming fir depleted pack that was bare bones before season started, no leader, no direction, hoping for miracle plays, blah blah.
Hope people enjoyed the game though, it's part of the plan. All that hard running warrington did will mean by the next time we meet Leeds are better in the energy battle
That performance brought together everything we've had coming to us over a number of weeks. I said it last week but again RS can go for me he's had enough time and resources and still turning in displays like that, this season its usually been for 40 and we've got away with some but this week it was the 80.
