Balmforth be another Litten and Josh Hodgson will leave and flourish elsewhere IMO

ComeOnYouUll wrote:Well like everyone else on here you can only guess Balmforth's thought process. He might be mature enough to realise he has to work on his game and his fitness. He admitted a couple of months back that he needed to lose some KGs.

doesnt seem to effect the likes of Jordan Abdull who you could say should lose a few pounds.
He is still the fastest nine we have at the club and i dont buy this lack of fitness excuse
My question to Smith would be what did he do wrong when he played 40 minutes or so at Warrington?
I thought he went ok but since that game he has been left out of the squad completely.
That was the time to give Balmforth a run of three of four games to see what he can do not drop him out of the squad completely.
Balmforth for a young player is already a decent size and build yet it looks like Smith will include a skinny 10 stone young player in Moy on the bench as back up nine on Saturday.
Good luck to the lad but for me it doesnt make any sense

And Finally Tony hits the nail on the head in the Mail

That would challenge most squads, especially some of who they are (injuries). But that's irrelevant, nobody wants to hear about all that; it's whether you win or lose!!!!

Finally he admits the basic 101 of sport and culture

It’s all irrelevant - it’s whether you

WIN or LOSE

that ends my Culture debate on another thread

I have lost interest

Marcus Bai wouldn’t have been Dockers best winger at that moment in time.

Culture + Resources + Players + Preparation = Long Term Success.

We had the players in 2016 & 2017 who could beat anybody on their day, but in the absence of the right resources, culture and preparation then they were not going to go all the way and win the Grand Final.

Since the glory days of 2017 our player quality has declined and the other elements required for success have not been put in place.

It will take a lot more than mere money to turn round the good ship Hull FC, but to start the process money is essential.
