Unless we can bring in someone who has worked with Smith in the past and gets on with him (as we did with Russell) we're not a very enticing prospect for potential loanees. Likely to end up injured or suspended.

Walking into a squad low on confidence and under pressure. We'd need someone of the right character.

If you watch Tinkering Tony’s post match presser he says he’s reluctant to play Charles due to his age, lack of experience and physical size. I’m not sure how old he is but his body is definitely not ready yet. I was watching some stuff on YouTube and the difference in physicality then and now with Mikey Lewis is huge, he looks like a boy. Tanginoa (I think) targeted Charles and ran over the top of him, it’s a fine balance.

A Rovers fan said to me after the game that we defend like they did when Gene was at Rovers, ie badly !

Think thats too much thinking for Tinkering Tony giving Hoy and Charles a run for a few games
Maybe suggest it to him after his mid morning power nap and before his afternoon siesta
Also means we can have two actual nines playing at nine in Brown and Smith
Think we have to write Balmforth off
Tinkering Tony?

He's forced each game into changes. He loses two or three players every game to injuries and suspensions.

When he keeps continuity by playing Houghton at nine, Brown and Smith in the halves and Hoy at full back, you complain about that. Keeping continuity in those positions is the oppositte of tinkering.

It's actually you that is constantly calling for the team to be tinkered with, as you have in this post I'm quoting. But more than that, you always want us to be tinkering between coaches..

It's not tinkering Tony, it's tinkering Bonaire

Actually it could be Bonaire with the alter egos.
“Tinkering Tony” and all that.

Try harder.

Noticing everyone is putting the 18 year old halfback Jack Charles in their 17s for the foreseeable….

My opinion for what it’s worth

He’s an 18 year old kid who’s been in a team who got trounced by a terrible Huddersfield and had a steady 30 minute stint vs KR, talks of him being ‘the next best thing’ ‘build a team around him’

Have none of you learned through the likes of Connor wynne who got shipped off because of the abuse or Jordan lane who gets pelters every week and hates the clubs fanbase, Jack Logan who also got touted as the next best thing, now not in the game at all, Davy litten who doesn’t get a look in, the list goes on…..

His size is nowhere near super league level he’ll get rolled by a big pack every week, let him play in the reserves and let him learn his craft without the pressure because no doubt he’ll have a few stinkers as an 18 year old does and get shedloads of abuse from fans and he’ll be put back of the line and never spoken about again…..

Tinkering Tony was one of his names whilst at HKR and now we all know why
He needs replacing for the good of the club as he has done nothing to enhance the playing squad since he has been here apart from as we all know make us the most indisciplined team in S/L and a laughing stock,
that should be a wake up call to all supporters as the club being called a laughing stock of R/L actually hurts.
The continual playing Houghton at nine especially when he is carrying an injury, and two nines at halfback just doesnt work.
When Houghton came on at Huddersfield replacing Brown we went backwards and when he went off at HKR and Brown went to nine we scored two tries.
Now that should tell Smith something dont you think?
What i am saying is whilst Houghton is out injured play the two nines we have as nines and move Hoy to halfback with Charles to add some speed and zip and Litten to fullback until Walker is fit.
Give it several games and if it doesnt work we have lost nothing as it cant be worse than we already have
Instead of your continual criticism of me why dont you try and post something meaningful or suggest what changes you would make as you seem to support Smith when his record here is appalling and he needs to go

we'll come back by round 15 which is Hull v Wire

would put very good money on him being abused to the point he gets pulled and put to the reserves.....

Was told a few weeks back that Cory Hall from Rovers would be joining on loan after the derby, whether that will actually happens or not we shall find out shortly.
