If Smith reverts back to Houghton at 9 next week then just shows he’s lost the plot.
For me Danny has been a great servant but it’s time to put a fork in him as he is done. We have an international 9 in Brown and two young players in Charles and Balmforth who have the ability but need to be given a proper chance.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Simply better distribution and direction as soon as Houghton went off and a proper half in Charles coming and an international hooker going in to the position he excels at.

Much better second half performance. Sadly, it shouldn’t take conceding six first half tries to start playing.
Much better defence in the second half. A noticeable difference when Danny went off. Charles looked like a greater of fresh air when he came on. Finally some strong go forward from Ese Ese and Pele.
Need to start Charles for the next several games and play Nu Brown at hooker. Hopefully our forwards can start laying a platform through 80 minutes. Hopefully no more bans will give us a more settled pack.
We are still a very poor team. Although they are much better than us, I still can’t see Rovers competing with the top teams. The only decent team they’ve played in the league this season is Warrington and they were outclassed in that game. Wigan and Saints won’t be conceding the tries we did today.

I thought the young lad charles was exceptional,to come on when the team was getting drubbed and perform as well as he did,was terrific and if mcintosh didnt try to showboat he would have made a try with a clever kick.Is balmforth injured.?
