Bizzarely our Head of Conditioning used to be our Sports Scientist. This is what is says on the club's website. Jesus.

Quote:He oversees training loads, ensuring the players are training enough, without pushing them over their individual limits.

Quite telling just how young our backroom staff are. Head Physio 27, Assistant Physio 21, "Assistant Sports Rehabilitator" 26, Performance Analyst 26, Sports Scientist 23 today (happy birthday).

Everything on the cheap this season. Adds fuel to the fire that the club had written it off before a tackle was made (or missed in our case)

Maybe we had some top quality signings liked up, but as soon as that grade A license came in and we were exempt from relegation the club were straight on the blower to this years bargain basement signings instead to keep costs down

The club is run like an amateur club from top to bottom , no wonder the players lack professionalism and the so called culture is bad . It’s what’s getting passed down from the very top . I bet some championship teams are ran better , even some players aren’t happy how unprofessional the club is ran . Training not tough enough , training times getting moved back on the day a few hours then some players turning up when it suits .

Smith told to Get Your job done is utter
Rubbish
Adam should be saying that what he’s doing is not what he hired him for !!!

The instruction should be do a different job and here’s what I’m telling you to do

Create a WINNING culture - it’s that simple

I don’t know if any other culture worth having in sport

Imagine Toto Wolff at Mercedes saying that winning isn’t everything Lewis
We have to make sure you present yourself well and are a little bit woke

I mean what the hell is this Culture shoite

WINNING solves every thing and develops a positive well meaning culture

Why don’t you try it Adam and Tony ?

I have lost interest

Some fans think, if we signed a 7, this would transform the performances- Nope.
Changing the Coach? - with the current backroom staff,of 1 S&C -Nope,
Winning stems from preparation , if you prepare like an amateur, you play like an amateur.
This group would benefit from a more fully resourced experienced backroom staff.
A reduction in experienced staff in S&C is suicidal in todays game, this is evident on the performances displayed.
Salford for example, have 2 S&C, the difference in fitness between us and Salford is alarming.

The more I read the more it seems Smith doesn't have the tools.

Lack of backroom staff
Well below cap
More training facilities

He definitely should be doing better, but he is coaching a club massively under funded on and off the field.

Paul Rowley has more experienced, and better resourced backroom staff, than we have .He also has a competent DOR..
IF we approached Rowley, I'd assume he would insist in bringing his backroom staff with him...
No need to guess, the response from Pearson would be.
The same response, when approaching both McNamara and Watson...

Pearson at the press meeting was asked if he was spending to the CAP and he said yes. Tony was given the money he asked for.
