With us being adamant that we weren't going down the route of short term loans, and us now having 6 loan players (granted two are season long) feel like it puts a bit of pressure on the loan lads to perform and also EOC to get a result Friday.
McGowan Myers Arundel Gill Carr Ott Lilley Doro Souter Lawrence Wilson Butler Fulton
Davies Appo Green Wood
Can't see how Hallas, Flanagan or Smith get in the team.
I suppose if you're going to stick short term loan players in Prop and Wing are preferable positions. Wood is definitely class too I agree.
At least Ott has been training with the lads for a while (and hopefully at half bck with this in mind).

Just been watching the academy highlights from last night and the pitch looks very heavy.
Apparently club is cancelling all the juniors games they have planned for pre match and the LDRL game at half time. The weather has pretty much been as forecast this week, so surprised they have left it so late to cancel.

Last night was horrendous on that pitch. Really surprised they played an academy game on it last night, with a game on tonight as well. Didn't look great at the end at all.
It's a strong looking squad and team, but just feel it's very disjointed and unbalanced. Loan players coming into the 13 and on bench. Davies in the halves? Debuts for Fulton and Ott how up to speed will they be. I worry for the creativity and attacking fluency to really test Halifax. They look alot more balanced with Widdop and Joufrett, Eden on the edges and Keyes on the bench as well as a good option. Not expecting anything pretty, but a win is vital and that's all that matters.

Very impressed with Fulton, he looks like he will be a real handful. Ott didn't get much time on the field but didn't let anyone down either. Thought the loanees all did well, especially the forward from Wire. Hope we can keep hold of him for a few more weeks.
Really impressive defensive effort from the Bulls, they scrambled back countless times tonight. Halifax on the other hand looked vulnerable in defence and I suspect if we'd had Gaskell on the pitch they might have been on the end of a bit of a hammering.
Side was more than a bit makeshift but they looked eager and played some decent rugby in tricky conditions.
