I reckon if we did get taken over then a lot of home truths would come out about Pearsons tenure especially the last few years that would make him just as bad as Kath Hetherington and her clan. Its almost like theyre a mirror image of ownership tbh. They both came in, steadied the ship, got decent managers and built the squads, Mcraes team (first time) and Radfords team were both class and were nearly there but just not good enough but then under both ownerships the teams were dismantled and not built on and the teams dropped to the bottom of SL and became a laughing stock. The current team is way poorer in personnel than what Agar had and is gonna take a hell of a lot of fixing though.

I agree, but does it give a bigger question of is it even possible for Hull to get bigger than our mid 00s and mid 10s size with the stadium and lack of assets? It feels like without a massively rich owner the status quo wont be broken.

Interesting question. A lot of the time it does feel like we made a rod for our own backs though both of those times with things like Cooke's unsigned contract in the 00s, not replacing Motu in the 10s etc. Obviously there's more to it than that but we do seem to have this habit of shooting ourselves in the foot in some manner whenever we seem to have built something or laid some foundations at least.
