We were V close to signing him during Brett Hodgsons reign, backed out as didn’t want to give up on NRL. Should he not take his chance and souths decide to give Wighton a go in half’s, I think he’ll be on the market

Worse case scenario would be we should get a decent fee for him but he's exactly the sort of player we should be trying to get. Knowing us we'll end up with a lower end championship 7 and told to be patient for another year.

If Carlos is out for 12 weeks and he has anything about him he would retire, must be getting to the point of being long term for him. Done really well out of the club and him going would help us out.
