Our forwards outmuscled Wigan and look a damned sight tougher than a good number of SL sides. After a season in the Championship building up their partnerships I think they'll be more than SL ready.
I agree, though SR will need to be upgraded for SL. Younger bodies needed there.

Got a feeling that Isai Vangana will play a lot of second row and if the strong rumours are to be believed we’ve got McMeekin signed for next year giving us a back row of

He's playing prop these days.

McMeeken's a prop these days. Storton is the other rumour. I reckon Griffin might have another year in him as well as a back up option.

Boothroyd is SR. Bain is a LF/Prop. Rodwell LF/Prop. Vagana also LF/Prop.
Vagana looked a bit out of sorts at SR but he certainly looks the business at prop. I’m really not a fan of playing players out of their natural positions except in emergency. If we need a SR we find a SR, if we need a centre we find a centre etc.
We have a formidable middle unit with some rotation wiggle room now though and some of our forwards really do look to have engines on them.
Storton could be one SR option but I’m sure there will be others out there.
Having a big, powerful pack that would potentially dominate the opposition could hide where we are slightly weaker in other positions. Being dominant, and beating teams physically down the middle will present so many chances as we go on this season.
The corner stone of any great team is the pack , get that rolling forwards and opportunities will arise for the backs to be creative and play some expansive rugby . Get a 1-6 of the best available and they would struggle behind a beaten pack . As rightly said our forwards power speaks for itself, now Powell’s next big job is to get a back line capable of taking those opportunities that the pack will present them . Some tough choices to be made , some I suspect will not go down favourably with fans , but we must have the best available for said position , no room for sentimentality. Some like Jerry and Gale will step down I’m sure whilst others may move on or drop down the pecking order . But the bottom line is our coach will see this season who has got it and who doesn’t cut the mustard ,because if we get the green light for next season we better hit the ground running ,because there will be no place to hide or easy games ,every game will be brutal
