2 yrs ago I would have kept him. But he hasn't really progressed. Good solid player but not more. Let him go for me

24 years old, isn't a young kid with potential anymore

I completely agree, I wouldn't be bothered either way.
More annoyed we’ve not been in for Davies, Johnstone and McMeeken.

Question is what happened to the May 1st deadline?

Wakey shouldn’t be able to contact players without clubs blessing.

He’s someone who hasn’t reached the heights we expected and hasn’t the best injury record.

It’s probably down to whether the club think we can sign a better domestic Centre than him. Honestly , I don’t think we can.

But a 15 min commute to work each day vs an hour each way is a no brained for him

If the alarm bells aren't already ringing for Adam and the Club this sort of news should have them deafening him.

For a club like Wakey that were even poorer than us last season to now appear to be building a decent side or at least talking about top players as potentials/targets makes the situation even more critical for the Club and Pearson. The silence or burying heads in the sand just does nothing to address any of the issues and just pushes more and more fans to breaking point.

The article that states the club are backing Smith to turn the tide, all I can say is when and how far does the tide have to to go out before it starts turning? As the tide so far seems to already have gone out further than it does at Weston-Super-Mare and its still retreating.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I like Scott but his injury record is not good. You couldn't blame him for fancying a new challenge, closer to home and out of the madness that is Hull FC.

If Wakey do sign McMeeken and Johnstone they are likely to have a better squad than us in 2025.

Whenever there's articles that we're in negotiations with a player / another club is interested, it means they're as good as gone. I'd have kept Scott as he's young and off quota and would've been a good replacement for Carlos, just makes the rebuild that bit harder. As others have said, if Wakey continue to recruit well for next season and Toulouse also begin to plan for longer term in super league, there's a danger that unless we get out act together quickly, we're going to be really far adrift from the rest next year

Good luck to him. No doubt another who will go and thrive at another club.
So that's him and Hoy not here next season.

I think Scott has been better than Carlos for the last two seasons , I know both have been out injured (Carlos more so ) but I would have give Scott the 3 jersey this season .

Hoy has been a disappointement and you can count on one hand the number of decent games Scott has had.
Hardly going to miss either of them.
My concern is Tony Smith still been here
