Bit unfair on Pele - when he first came on, it was 6 minutes before we gave him the ball. We haven't brought him in to do 55 minutes, we have brought him in to be a wrecking ball and get us on the front foot - well give him the ball!! He struggled with the scoots from acting half, but not every side attacks the ruck as much as Leigh do - and they were playing at pace for the full 80 - so we need to control the PTB speed better

I am sorry that it sometimes takes time to get through to some but in this case it was obvious we were going nowhere but rock bottom under Smith
It’s not just Smith you bang on about Pearson gets it all the time about his money etc etc….do you actually know how much he has got, takes out as an income ??????
On the smith one…this goes back to Radfords last throes of tenure and Hodgson ill fated reign…I think Pearson got his fingers burned with Hodgson and the contracts dished out.

Problem with Pele is 2 games, 2 cards and it's putting the rest of the team under extra pressure. I'd drop him to the reserves/ send him on loan until he can prove he can last a full game without his discipline letting him down

I'll wait and see what team we name before I decide whether I'm going to watch this one or not. If we select Carlos and go Brown at 7, Houghton at 9 with no Balmforth again etc. then I won't bother. Not because I think changing things up will give us a chance (we are going to get crushed either way), but because I can't stomach watching another game with the same underperforming players and systems that are simply never going to work.

Do you really think that the one on Saturday was a yellow? I thought it was very harsh. He is already committed to the tackle when Dwyer still has the ball. Unfortunately, he now has a target on his head I think

Players to go Carlos (welfare officer for players)Okunbar and Hoy…harsh on hoy but gives us a big chunk and 3 quota spots but alas it won’t happen.
In an ideal world I'd get rid of about a dozen players (obviously that's not feasible) but Hoy wouldn't be one of them actually. If nothing else I think he genuinely does give his best effort every game, and hes one of the few players we have with a bit of pace and x factor about him. When Walker is fit Hoy would be my 6 without a shadow of a doubt.

That's not far off the team I'd like to see tbh. Although I'd swap Lane and Balmforth around. Let Balmforth play his proper position spelling with Brown, and whilst I'm not a Lane fan I can't knock his effort this season, so he will do at 13 for now.

It still was a yellow though, he should have been on best behaviour all game to make amends, not putting risky late shots in on players and now the end result is another sin bin and potential suspension

Oh I know…was just thinking about cap and quotas that’s all…how about Hoy as captain??
