But I’ll share a story which I’ve told to a few forum friends privately.
Perhaps naively I had an idea, as the news broke of the new owner at the stadium for the Tigers, and before Acun took over, I offered our services free of charge, to meet with Turkish entrepreneur and welcome him to the stadium and liaise with a possibility of bringing both the clubs together, as we are also tenants, and the possibility of peace breaking out after the Allams tenure.
One of my immediate family, is from Hull, and a pass holder at one time with City & Hull, he’s a university graduate with a degree in criminal psychology, fluent in Turkish, and has an understanding of the Turkish culture, and the Hull culture, a perfect introduction to any possible liaison with AP and Acun, remember this was before the new owner actually took his new position.
So here’s probably the naivety, I emailed our CEO which I’ve done in the past, and offered our services for free, with good intentions.
James reply, went along these lines, if a takeover happens I’ll believe it when I see it, and he would bear it in mind for the future.
Once more I’ll reiterate, we only want the best for our club, but sometimes I feel a disconnect which has happened before in the Shark period, and now as then, actually attending fixtures is no longer fun but a chore.
An interesting insight!
I would imagine our CEO is just an employee of the club and has no stake in the club. He’s been in place a few years now and overseen our declining mediocrity, I’d question whether be should even be part of a future solution.
Any conversation should be between Adam and Acun (or whoever the appropriate person is at City).
