I am not sure dreadful sums up how bad that was today. Surely we can't go on with such clear issues in attack against decent teams. Time for a change of coach?

I can only say so many times how badly Watson has recruited and how little he appears to know about how to build a successful side. To be honest , judging by the total lack of response or engagement on this site by our fans, i think noone really cares enough to continue with a Rugby League side in Huddersfield, or certainly not a superleague one.

Ken has unfortunately backed the Watson horse, and has stuck with him despite the fact he has squandered his cash and built the worst spine in the entirety of superleague. Anyone can see that:

1) Russell cannot play when any pressure is exerted on him whatsoever. Even when he is allowed to play (like at Cas last week) he is medioce at best. Yet Watson continues to praise him and act as if he is a great half back when the reality is he NEVER scores and almost NEVER assists a try
2) We have no pace in the spine, and had no pace in the spine last year, yet Watson chose to replace Peats with Milner who is if anything even more ineffective than Peats was. We literally NEVER scoot from acting half with any penetration whatsoever
3) Connor was a terrible choice to complement our back line, he is more of the same, slow with some creativity. We have Connor, Lolohea, Clunes and Russell all trying to do the same thing, create something, BUT FOR WHO?!?! There are no support players in our team.

Watson is a busted flush, look at the great rugby Salford continue to play, clearly that was not down to him, how could a coach with the mentality Watson now shows, and the way he gets his team to play ever have been solely responsible for the way Salford played? The answer is it cannot.

It is such a shame that out of all the coaches we have had it is Watson that got the cheque book thrown at him as he has recruited an utter garbage side, Some of the coaches before him might have actually created a decent side if they had had the same sort of backing.

We have been utterly outclassed by Saints, Wigan and now Hull KR and will be nowhere near the play offs by the end of the year, i put us in 9th place, only Hull Cas and London are worse, but no doubt we will put a cricket score past totally busted Hull next week and Watson will get a stay of execution.

Get rid of this muppet now

Predictable in attack and not good enough in defence, we make good ground with one man drives up to the opposition 20 but then have no idea and rarely threaten the try line. The win at Cas was nothing to judge by as they were very poor and today showed where we are at and that is nowhere near capable of getting top 4. I don’t see any great progress since the start of Watson tenure and am at a point after 60 years watching Fartown / Giants where I’m losing the will to go, and I agree - there is very little enthusiasm within the town for a Super League team and the current regime is not looking capable of increasing crowds and interest

I try to support the coach as long as he's trying to progress the team I support but I'm getting fed up of the dire rugby we play, the half back pairing & no 9 is pivotal to what a team does, how we play, how we set up.

I stand by what I've said about Russell from the 1st game I saw him, he's a Championship player, he offers nothing going forward, he's got zero skill set, he's got zero flair to get us forward, he's simply awful to watch, yet Watson keeps persisting with him - I've seen hung Kieren Rush offer more & yet he doesn't get a look in.

Hooker - weather it be Goulding or Milner, the pair of them aren't good enough, the pair of them are pedestrians at best, the movement of the ball is so slow & predictable that by the time they've played the ball the opposition already know what pass they've made before they've done it, we've struggled badly at no9 since we lost Levi back to Australia.

I said to a mate earlier, I'm getting sick to death of losing to teans like KR when we have the squad we have, we do have some cracking players but they just aren't playing at the moment for whatever reason.

The one major problem we do have is the size of the squad, we have too many players at Giants.

Personally the likes of :

Milner
Goulding
Russell

Shouldn't be anywhere near the match day squad or Giants, they aren't good enough.

Personally I'd go :

Connor
Halsell
Marsters
Naiqama
Swift

Clune
Lolohea

Hill
Deakin
Ikahihifo

Muchie
Rushton
Yates

Subs

Hewitt
Wilson
English
Rush

Forgot about Cudjoe.

Stick him on the bench for Rush, with Rush being 18th man

Just looking at the squad as a whole :

I'd be saying goodbye to :

Russell
Goulding
Milner
Livett
Bibby (Both)

That still leaves the likes of :

Greenwood
Wallis
Salabio
Rush
Savelio

On our books, its impossible to keep all of the players we have happy.

You are quite right. Your side is better than ours in virtually all departments thanks to Watsons incompetence, I'm sure there are probably a couple of forwards of ours like Wilson, Yates and possibly Swift on the wing you might prefer, but in other regards you would prefer your squad to ours right? I certainly would

Firstly can I say I'm sorry, you're quite right.

I'm just very angry & frustrated at our lack of going forward as a club and continuing to sign utter muppets.

So I take it back.

Got to agree with everything thats already been said. Im not disputing that yesterday HKR were by far the better team and fully deserved to win the game and the scoreline did flatter us as well, It was probably the worst display of refereeing I can remember seeing in 60 years of watching Rugby League, unfortunately it is now a regular occurrence for the refs to give these outrageous decisions and its making the game a very poor spectacle for those of us who have to watch week in week out.
