Let’s face it we won’t sign anyone of note. We will get beaten to the punch on anyone that’s worth having. We will just get what’s left. Harsh but true.
There's not much in the UK player pool as it is so when when you see clubs already signing quality players for next season. I does make you wonder who can we target for next season.
If we'd have paid the 250k fee for croft and Ackers, Pearson could have potentially made that back if it encouraged an extra 1000 fans to go to each game if we were playing better rugby (25 * 1000 * 13 is 325k), I've always thought it's a false economy doing things on the cheap as you end up losing revenue when fans don't turn up to games and buy merchandise, don't have prize money from finals etc

Less 50% to the SMC, leaves £162,500 so realistically you’d have to attract nearly 2,000 more fans to make a profit and I don’t think that’s going to happen especially if the Covid loan is £500k.

Mcintosh will be getting offered a new contract i reckon. Been good so far this season and the fact he can cover centre and full back makes him handy to have in the squad.
If we are looking at a winger I wonder if Lewis Murphy could be an option. I'm not sure if he's recovered from his serious injury and how close he is to getting in the Roosters team.

I'd be keeping an eye on a few Fed trained lads in Aus, I mentioned Pryce the other week. Joe Chan is another, saying that he's in the Melbourne starting line up today
We just need to be smart with our recruitment. I think we've still got too many holes in the squad, but the focus should be on spine players and a strike outside back if we can get one. The new visa rules should help us out too.
It'll be interesting to see the type/quality of player we're linked to. It'll give us a good indication of how long we'll be in the wilderness
