It’s a fair assessment. I just look at Salford and think we could potentially roll over the top of them with a big bench. A lot will depend on how much Peet trusts Forber in a tight game. If it’s a case of him only getting a chance when we’re comfortable, I think I’d take the risk of having no cover for O’Neill.

BTW-can you imagine these decisions and conversations as and when everyone is available!

Game to forget so far from us, lots of errors and penalties and pretty ordinary with the ball

Been a long while since we’ve been so far off it. Hull at home in similar wet conditions. Salford are an awkward team to play against. In the face of it they like to throw the ball about but their defence is very niggly and lots of hands in the ruck.

We are really lacking with Leeming not playing. If we weren’t going to spell Forber there’s no point whatsoever in having him on the bench.

I think we’ve got the Thompson we hoped anyway. What an effort and what a win to grind that out.
