15 years today since we spanked them 60-8 with Orr converting all 10 tries and the infamous shirt burning incident.
Would be good to get a result, but Wire look to be a big side and as the season progresses we will tire from endlessly tackling bigger units.
Will be interesting to see the crowd numbers and if they remain high....

Coming down for the game, stopping in Hertfordshire, train to Kings Cross, tube to Vauxhall and train to Earlsfield. Will then either walk or jump on a bus with our old codgers pass. Any advice on pre game refreshments are welcome.
Anyone know of any issues with our intended route.
Hope it's an entertaining game.

As far as pubs the Wigan thread on here offers thoughts. There is a reasonable pub in the ground as well.
As far as journey others will chip in on whether the train to earlsfield on a Sunday is a winner. It appears to be running but if not you can go from Kings cross or Vauxhall on Victoria line to Stockwell and then change onto northern line to Tooting Broadway it’s then about a 15 minute walk down Garratt Lane on the left of station and then a left onto Wimbledon road Once you passed the cemetery. Have a look on google maps and you’ll see the score. You’re probably best checking whether the Herts station you are going from is running on the Sunday as well. Do a google search to see if it’s ok for Sunday sometimes they aren’t.
All the best.

Just to say the Sutton thameslink route is operating so there should be a half hourly service from St Pancras thameslink to Haydon's Rd station, ten minutes walk from the ground. Check your ticket but a free pint of beer was included in mine. Have a good trip!

Thanks for the info. Travelling from Welwyn Garden City and trains appear to be running. Was going to check out Battersea Power Station, hence the Vauxhall route. Nice to know the alternatives though.

Well I think Warrington got revenge (for that 8-60 result) and the crowds are hemorrhaging around 1,000 each match. Accepting the three visitors so far are three of the best teams, I can only see the numbers attending continuing to drop as people aren't going to turn-up week after week to watch a one-sided competition. Not sure whether we can do the Easter Sunday Huddersfield match, and at the moment will just see where we are at approaching kick-off. I doubt the return fixture at Warrington next weekend is going to make us anymore keen to make an extra effort to be around.

Glad I watched the Hull/London match on Sky as that was competitive.

We just don’t seem to have enough players with the skill or physicality at this level. I hate having a go as they’re giving their all but the likes of Wire are just streets ahead.
Can’t fault the effort from the Broncos, they keep going til the final whistle but we’re just missing the kind of quality we had last season from the likes of Whare and Norman. Maybe a couple of half decent blokes might be available when the French domestic season ends?
Attendance today was 3300 approx ( can’t remember the exact figure that was called out)

London simply aren't good enough, no surprise. Wire are in a false position for my money. They'll just make the play off yet if they hadn't started to play showreel stuff early on that would have been a point a minute.

Credit to the players. They did their best, we can ask no more. The mismanagement over the years is hurting the club yet again.

Edited to say the club might want to look at the ticketing system. Having spent £20 to look into the sun, I wasn't too pleased to be greeted by flashing lights and beeping noises telling me my ticket was invalid. Credit to the steward who quickly worked out I was genuine and not trying it on so let me in. Wouldn't have been a good first impression if I was a new fan though.

Yes outclassed today. Smithers makes a good point about crowds. I can't do Easter Sunday and the Sutton line doesn't appear to be working for the late April fixture putting off Mrs Hockley as without that we have loads of changes. I enjoyed the Wigan game but today was too one sided for my taste

They might try hard but some of the defending is dismal. Especially left side.

Gus Mackay we salute you!!
