Not sure who or what is to blame for Walmsley's missing spark. Lack of confidence, coaching instructions or weather maybe?

Don't get me wrong, I still reckon he'll be top scorer in the Championship this season. I just think there's a massive gulf between the bottom of Super League and top of the Championship. A lot of these players weren't good enough last season but I expect them to stand out this year. Although all full time players should shine in a part time league.

If I'm honest, as much as I get the sentiment with Johnstone, I cant say if it didn't come off id be disappointed, he seems to have lost something at Catalan, might just be the way they play and getting his opportunities but he will be coming up 30 and as we know had his issues with injuries, I certainly wouldn't be throwing the kitchen sink to get him to come..
Johnstone is 28 I think and will be only 29 next year. Those should probably be his best years over next few. The guy was joint top scorer in SL and got back in the international set up and played well. What exactly do you think he’s lost?
Someone mentioned Lewis Murphy and he’s definitely one id keep an eye on too.

Said by who? That was just something flying round on forums I think. He said in an interview he would prefer to stay in superleague that’s all.
This interview is the one I read where he was interviewed and was wanting to help Trinity back to SL but despite initial talks his agency was told not required. This is a quote in interview from Kersh himself.

Or something than just came out of Carters mouth. Perhaps like a few others that have left or wouldn't sign, it is because the real truth was they were made derisory offers.
I liked Kershaw but being realistic he wasn't in tbe TJ class and he's gone. I can see the sense in signing Olpherts - he's a big bloke and frankly I think wingers now need a bit of size about them when returning the ball. Franco and Walmsley made no headway at all at Fev, and were many times pushed back. I think he'll go well under DP

As far as I can recall, Kershaw spoke to the new team after the take over was complete and expected an offer but one didn't materialise. Maybe his agent got in the way?
Quotes from LK: 1. "I spoke to Daryl (Powell) and also listened to an interview he did on radio where he said he was in talks with my agent. 2. " and after meeting Matt Ellis, which he had requested".
I wasn't fussed about him leaving, wouldn't want him back and certainly think Olpherts offers more than just the occasional interception going forward.
If he flops I'm sure it will still be Michael Carters fault.
