The only narrative coming from the club just seems to be the drive on producing our own players .

We can produce our own promising players, but unless we complement them with top quota / domestic players like Wigan/ St Helens/ Catalan do, we won't compete, we'll stay mid table / bottom half...currently whilst our youth is getting better, were replacing the experienced players with lower quality experienced players

Also if we don't start competing, bigger clubs will start picking off the likes of Staveley, Charles and Martin.

Yep and then all the decent youth that comes through will just get picked off by the top clubs and as a club we will see no real benefit from the investment (time and money) thats been put in to the youth.
We are continuing to lose ground and fall further behind not just the top clubs but the chasing pack we are now lagging behind by some way, look at how far behind Salford we have fallen for example.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

The only way they will get really good is rubbing shoulder week in week out with class players and anyway we'll be losing the best of that emerging youth because other clubs offer them more money!! We're in a downward spiral I'm afraid and have been since 2017.

its not a downward spiral Wilf we are already in a big hole which we cant get out of.
Money and been able to pay for several quality players is the only thing that can get us out of this mess and we know Adam Pearson doesnt have the personal funds to be able to do it

Alot of frustrated fans and rightly so.

Nobody knows exact figures financially, reading old articles Pearons very vague in the facts he gives.

Everyone presumes we pay £250k for rent.

The article states it used to be 20/30k annually when Hull city wernt in the premier league, but only shot up to £250k due to hull city playing premiership football.

My question is what happened to the rent figure when Hull City dropped back out of the premiership years ago, did that rent fee drop back down to 20/30k annually?

Its never been mentioned since city were relegated. Unless ive missed it.

How much was our covid loan?
And will the amount used to pay off the covid loan be used next season to invest in the team?

I think its about time a supporters group sat with Pearson and Smith and fired some direct questions.

Having it too cosy at the moment, with no transparancy given to fans , for future plans.

Plead poverty and then radio silence. CAN pearson push this club forward or is it being run down slowly but surely?

Aye, that’s why when you have to prioritise, you shouldn’t prioritise heavy investment in youth… unfortunately, the business case for it is rubbish for most clubs. which is part of why the talent development pathways across most of the sport aren’t very productive.
