My issue with him in attack is that I don't think he really goes looking for the ball. If it comes to him, then he'll run it in. And despite his lazy running style he will make good metres. But he doesn't look to put his hand up for a carry very often. We don't seem to use his size enough. Either with giving him crash balls on the opposition line and letting him power straight over a half back, or even kicking on the last to him. He's going to be above pretty much anybody he's challenging against for the ball. Tried it first set against London and he nearly pulled it in for a try. Maybe he just doesn't call for the ball though.
In terms of his asking for the ball, it could be down to his days (and most of his career as a Winger). This is the first real season of any note being primarily in the back row - and even his physique is still more of a back, than a back rower. I would expect that the upcoming close season will see him add a bit more bulk similar to Watkins

Agree, doing ok, but we need more form an overseas player in attack, hopefully this will come, is a big, quick lad, so should be making tackle busts and some breaks.
McMeekan, Davies and Johnstone all leaving Catalan at the end of the season, we should be showing interest in all 3, quality players that would be good additions to our team. If McMeekan and Johnstone both end up at Wakey, they could end up with a better team than us in 2025

I'd go all out for Mcmeeken, make him marquee and captain, fantastic player. Doubt we will get him, be surprised if him or Johnson go to Wakey, wouldn't be suprised see see them both at Leeds.

Have a feeling Davies will go to Rovers if Hall decides to retire.
Catalans are now after Partington, would of been all over him personally.

Still have the big disadvantage of location over other clubs, would players move to Hull when they could live in Leeds, Manchester or the South of France.

Do you think it's location or success/perceived chance of success? East Hull is even further away from Leeds/Manchester etc, but they seem to be able to attract a better calibre of player than we can currently.

They have people with deeper pockets than Adam.
I think its probably fair to say that both Hull clubs have to pay over the odds compared the the rest of SL to attract players to come this far East simply down to geography. Ultimately to make it attractive to players money talks and there's little doubt that this season there has been a lot more thrown about by Rovers and secondly they are spoken about as a team that will be competing.
I don't think it can be put down as one thing, but do think location does hamper both sides hence why we often have to offer more lucrative deals than the likes of say Leeds.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
