There are so many journalists at it though. I remember one recently where as a joke someone "leaked" some info about Ben Crooks joining Castleford as a joke and that journalist ran with it before doing his own research.

That person was correct. Ben Crooks has joined Castleford as part of their Academy coaching set-up before a full time move next season.

Castleford approached Halifax to get permission to talk to Ben Crooks after his coaching role at the club which will lead to something bigger in 2025.
Stick to the facts and you won’t go wrong.
Not like these wild Jake Maizen claims.
Except you didn't know it was for a coaching role because the person who "leaked" it to you kept stump about that. I mean who reports what pretty much equates to a volunteer coaching role by saying "Castleford Tigers are trying to get a deal done over the line with Ben Crooks from the Halifax Panthers."
