Wrench in and Ratch to Stand off?

Just realised Williams is in the squad!

Assuming Williams plays, I would expect Ratchford to keep his centre spot, with Wrench perhaps taking over from Thewlis on the wing. Depends if Burgess will be ruthless after one poor performance from Thewlis, or inclined to give him the chance to redeem himself.

Welcome return for George Williams, I hope that we are not rushing him back too soon, because of the Drinkwater injury.

It`s only early in the season and unless George is 100% recovered, let Ratchford/Powell cover the halfback role.

Can’t see Williams playing but will keep HKR guessing!

Hopefully one of Connor & Williams will be fit, but I wouldn't risk either, Wrench has had injury issues in the past and Williams is just too important to us. We have London next week which we should win with Williams, Wrench & Drinkwater missing, then looking at the season it feels as if the season starts proper, Challenge Cup then Catalan at home, Leeds away and Leigh at home followed by Salford away. A tough few weeks.

I would stick with Wrench at centre and Thewlis on the wing assuming all fit, Wrench especially needs a run of games to see what he can do and whether he is the answer to our centre position in the future. Thewlis has been very consistent and should have plenty of goodwill in teh bank to keep his spot.

Ratchford did well vs Cas and his goal kicking is very important, but we need to take a long view on this.

Thewlis has a brand new baby, a few nights interrupted sleep can destroy anyone’s concentration. I would cut him some slack unless what were uncharacteristic errors become the norm.
