Oh dear what?. If you're alluding to that early tackle, it wasn't illegal. It was above the knee. The officials have totally lost the plot atm. Hurrell will be getting a 2 match ban though....did u miss that one?

I honestly cant watch the game anymore . sin bin after 41 seconds for a legit tackle , im sure this is just more gaslighting the public .
Players are also turning into footballers tyring to win penalties when a player goes near the shoulder. The great thing about rugby was the speed of the game , we are slowly turning into American football with all the breaks in play .
Back on topic. I am sure that Lammy, Chessy and importantly Derek will do everything possible to keep John around. Unfortunately the treatment by our own RFL and match officials will work against us, even though he came when the NRL were very unsupportive of him, memory, like a rugby career, is short. I really hope we can keep him. Quality leader
First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can. “Up The Comics !”

The technique is awful and it's intended to injure the opposition player. He knew the technique is now banned and he knew doing it in his first tackle against Saints since the day that made the rules changes necessary would cause mayhem. Yet he did it anyway. The guy is an idiot and has let himself and the club down with that. The height of the tackle isn't the only consideration. He isn't looking at the ball carrier, he's just thrown his shoulder at the leg recklessly, no attempt to wrap the arms or make contact with the arms. If he keeps tackling like that, not only will he get banned a lot, he'll also break someone's leg or end someone's career. If he ever gets a standing leg, the player has absolutely no chance.
