Oh, and our win has tarnished the competition apparently

Yes brilliant - thought it was a bit of a shame that the Wigan team didn't take the trophy around the stadium to the fans. I'll let them off as I'm sure they were just knackered!

It was a shame but it just all became a bit splintered. I think they give so much access to the media that lads were getting pulled here, there and everywhere. Harvie Hill seemed to try and get everyone together to start down the North End but some lads were near the west, some near the south and some with the media.

And a far superior side without Crichton and Luai playing away from home :D

I’ll give you that Edward’s was missing

I’ll have a pint of what you’re on

I notice you didn’t beat a team just missing Edwards add Koroisau, Kikau and Martin

That’s using your logic of players that are no longer at the club

To add to the praise for Cleary and what he did at the end of the game signing autographs etc
My mate is on the backroom staff and he said the Captain Isaah yeo was absolutely Brilliant with everyone from Wigan at the end of the game
He said he shook hands and congratulated every single player, back up player and junior and went round to all the backroom staff and anyone who was their representing the Wigan club and congratulated them and thanked them.

Pure Class

just to add my bit regarding Cleary brilliant from the lad all to easy to get back inside but no he was generous with his time for fans credit to him, as for wigan well it was a little bit of a shambles for a club that rightly places importance in its fans it was a poor show not taking the trophy round the press can wait for me credit to the few who wandered over but no im sorry it should have been shown round by the whole team after all they managed it in 2017 didn't they.

Even it has ended the WCC as a concept

A massive crowd, Media interest, a great spectacle - yes lets kill it - the parochialism of some in RL continues to drag our game down.

Seeing a number of posts saying that Moore was guessing on the final "no try".
Look at the live footage, its clear that Wigan players have hands under the ball and its held up, on that basis Moore is justified in not guessing, sending it up as a no try just in case and there is no evidence that the ball touches the ground - No Try confirmed.

Contrast that with Edwards try, he is held up briefly but Moore see the ball on the line and so he sends it up as try to be sure and its confirmed. Similar with Wardles try, the ball is on the line.

Great result for Wigan, well done.

With all the advantages Penrith have over every SL team they should be taking the ref out of the game. They were second best last year and benefitted from some calls, they were clueless with the ball this year and are whining about some calls.

They weren’t good enough on the night and their execution was inferior to Wigan’s.

Also - makes me chuckle that some saints fans have spent the last couple of months whinging that some Wigan fans didn’t give credit for our WCC win and have since spent their time discrediting Wigan’s WCC win. Go figure.

Any win against any NRL team is something to be applauded given how the chips are stacked. And besides, the reaction of a load of Australians who can’t handle their best ever club team losing back to back to teams with vastly smaller budgets in a vastly inferior league is funny.

They have been telling everyone that this is one of the best ever NRL teams, yet they have been beaten by Saints and Wigan, it is something that should be celebrated.
