He needs to play. If Barron isn’t fit then we are really struggling for options in the outside backs.

As yet again they just hide behind what I can only class as an empty and frankly pathetic statement with seemingly no accountability being taken for the mess they have created.
They've held there hands up though and kind of admitted that they got things wrong to start with, I'm hopeful (but not over confident) that we won't see similar issues again now,
Reading the statement whilst they may have said the red card was wrong (which they couldn't have said anything else) they haven't really admitted to anything or held their hands up & admitted to any accountability they're simply using the term 'a clarification issue' as a pathetic excuse for incompetence and once again hiding behind a weak mealy mouthed statement.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I'd like to think Carlos will be back but just get a feeling he won't be.

Long time reader of this forum but don't post. However regarding the Sutcliffe incident. I was watching the Ireland/wales game (I don't watch union often). There was a ruck formed and the ref was stood at the side. One of the forwards Irish/Welsh (cant remember) grabbed his arm and moved him out of the way. Nothing was mentioned by the commentators. If the ref is in the way of play surely its there problem.

It would seem in RL that the RFL hold the players punishable and accountable for everything that happens on the pitch and the officials nothing whatsoever.

I sort of get why Sutcliffe has been banned, but when you watch closely the ref is running into his line. If the Wire player passes to his right Sutcliffe would've had a fighting chance of getting to them. Sutcliffe would have to anticipate this. Its an accidental coming together so two games is very harsh. would like to see them appeal.

That’s the same as my thoughts, it such poor positioning and understanding of not just the play but the game by Griffith and for me just typifies and another example of the poor standard of officiating. Had Warrington moved the ball along the right then they would have gone in unopposed with Griffith effectively running as a blocker being in the attacking line.
I’d hope we would appeal this not least for the fact we are owed a big decision by the RFL and also to make a bloody stand and further highlight the incompetence. Just don’t think Smith has the balls to do it though and will no doubt once again say it is what it is.

This is the point I was trying to make. The union ref accepted he was in the wrong place, and then moved further away. If that was league the player would have been banned.
