And you buddy,
short kick offs last year were ridiculous and once more we are putting ourselves under more pressure losing valuable yardage, especially on a boggy pitch we’re making ground is difficult enough.
Although at last we saw some structure down the left side, and we looked occasionally as we had a plan, to me, as in most positions in our side we need quality centres who can put the wingers away, just dreaming I guess.
Putting the red card and referee decisions to one side, I thought it was a much better performance last night. We looked like we had a bit of direction and we went toe to toe with Warrington when it was 13 v 13. In fact I'd say we were the better team in the first half.
Going forward I want to see Brown at hooker, and I'd be really considering putting Houghton at 13 with Balmforth as the bench hooker. I thought he showed up well again. He's rough around the edges but he can clearly offer something at this level. I also saw enough in that one game to say Staveley should be ahead of Lane, who again offered nothing.
I'm definitely feeling more positive than I was last week. We need to put in a professional performance against London next week, and then we will hopefully start to get a few troops back. I still think there's a decent side in there somewhere, and it was really encouraging that all the youngsters really stood up well.

TS loves a short kick off, I remember a couple of seasons ago Rovers where at home to Catalans and leading 8 nil, Catalans forced a drop out, we went short even though we were winning 8 nil, they scored from it. Next drop out we went short again and same result. Its a ploy that comes off occasionally yes but not often enough,

Ha ha, he’s adopted this tactic with us even when we are getting marmalised, I can’t remember it actually working.

Marmalised lol haven't heard that word used for ages. Bravo

Still absolutely raging as a RL fan about the Nu Brown send off, but it's also disgusting how much sympathy I had for Hull FC last night!! Which shows the level of obscenity these "rules" have created. We're all gonna be affected by this, infact in an odd way its extraordinary how the game off the pitch finds these ways to shoot itself in its foot. It's an incredible achievement in a roundabout way

I think that’s the point most players, pundits, fans and sponsors alike are unified on over the Nu Brown card in that it seriously impacts the game and sport we all love massively and in the wrong way.
If this continues how much longer are the stakeholders of the game going to stick around before they also say enough is enough?
We all agree that players need protecting but a combination of the RFL not consulting the players on changes and implenting rule changes, the officials and their inability to be consistent in applying the rules and common sense topped off with the MRP run by Cullen with ridiculous bans shows total and utter incompetence and they should be and need to be held accountable for the mess they’ve created.
In over 40yrs of both playing and watching this sport I don’t think I’ve ever know a time when a decision made in the field by an official has unified so many people across all sectors of the game , the fact it has shows that the game is royally b0ll0xed if the RFL do not address this here and now.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
State firstly I am a Warrington fan…. You guys were MASSIVELY done last night by probably the WORST officiating I have ever seen. Red Card !!! FFS no way, I wouldn’t even have said that warranted a yellow, it was accidental….blimey even the South Stand was booing the decision.. Thewlis tackle over the line…..how on earth was that not both a Penalty Try & a Yellow ? Our Penalty Try ???? I really couldn’t justify that in any way shape or form. I turned off after that as the telly would have been put in. Wilkin is right…RFL are KILLING this game with death by a 1000 cuts. Just watch how attendances fall over the Season. Been saying for last 3 Seasons, officiating is poor, amateur and killing the game. RFL, simply not fit for purpose.
Feel sorry for those that travelled as till the Red, you guys were playing some good rugby, in shocking conditions. Hollow victory….
