I think even the most ardent fan would struggle to be optimistic about this game. Even with a full strength team I wouldn't see anything other than a loss. Like the team my enthusiasm and passion for the season had disappeared by half time against Rovers.
I'll actually watch with interest. The only salvageable silver lining is hopefully a good look at some of the younger players. I'd expect us, at best, to stay within 30.
Almost had a brief moment of optimism when I saw on my news feed that Hull are in talks with Hargreaves. Alas, it's t'other lot.
Not keen on 36 year old imports. It just gave me a moment of de-javu to the days we linked ourselves with eminent antipodeans.

Well nobody has mentioned the term yet, so here goes surely this game is a 'free hit'
I do think we should probably view the game to right some wrongs from last Thursday in terms of simply getting our basics and organisation right and also giving the fringe players game time and SL experience and score at least one try. Anything after that is a bonus
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I hope they do – terrible signing. Another 'Big Willie'.

Think if the rules between SL and NRL were the same then possibly but personally if he does sign for a club in SL for next year whoever that maybe I just wonder if he will sit out more games than he plays due to his style and the disparity in the rules followed.

It's a huge risk of a signing and 1 I'd be disappointed if our club took. The guy is already 35 and still has a season of rugby to play before he even sets foot in this country. Anything could happen to him this year at his age.
Can't believe how many players down we are already and its only week 2. I wanted some younger lads to be given a shot this year but I didn't think it would be so many and so early! Hope they all give a good account of themselves and if they can get a point on the scoreboard then that would be nice!

JWH signing confirmed.
Off-field influence may be beneficial, on-field another story. Glad we weren't in the mix to sign him. He does say some nice things about Hull (makes a change) so good luck to him.

we all hope that but think we will see on Friday the on field indiscipline runs through the club at all levels
