Walker and Smith better in pre season apparently.

Thought he looked like the only one to create something in his brief spell last week.

Be intresting to see how our two ex Warrington academy players get on.

Scientists believed the largest number ever conceived is a googolplexian – which is 10 raised to the power of a googol. A googolplexian is so large, there is not enough matter in the known universe to write it longhand. This has since been beaten by adding up all Hull FCs squad numbers in a match versus Warrington Wolves on 23rd February 2024.

Hull’s strongest team is not their first 13. I think we’ve known that for some time. Beware the younger players sniffing a chance at displacing the prima donnas.

You dont have to be worried about the young Hull players that will play on Friday as none of them are ready yet for S/L.
The odd game this season would have been beneficial but there is such a huge gap for reserve/academy players moving into S/L especially in circumstances like this wont do any of them any good if Warrington run riot which is expected.
I blame the club because the on field indiscipline has not been stamped out by Smith since he has been here,in fact its getting worse.

We could start as big as possible and have Harrison @13. Though I’d prefer we time the interchanges so we didn’t have Dudson, Philbin & Wood on at the same time.

Vaughan
Walker
Musgrove
Currie
Fitzgibbon
Harrison

Powell
Philbin
Wood
Dudson

..... or better still, not have Dud on at all.

I am wondering if perhaps Holroyd might get a run. I suspect not as Burgess will probably like to se a bit more cohesion by sticking with a similar team as last week, not to mention a win under his belt. I think you are right about Wood, he has more than deserved a chance with his showing so far.

I think you have nailed the starting 13.

This game would be an ideal chance to give Hayes a run-out from the bench, given the team Hull are going to select.

Having him available to play, puts the pressure on Drinkwater to get involved more to keep Hayes out of the team.

Hence I don`t want Ratchford in the 17, and his role should be as cover for injuries/suspensions in his last season with us.

For future games 3 forwards plus Powell would be my bench preference.

I've seen lots of sides stung by not having backs cover for injury so I've always liked having a plan for every possible injury. Currie could move into the centre but we are not over blessed with replacement second row if that happened. If Dudson or any other forward is only going to play a bit part in the game we may as well have the extra flexibility of Ratchford who is quite capable of playing in the forwards.
