I think (not sure, just a guess) that it’s to speed up the decision on try or no try. The video ref can see all angles at once and get an idea of the big picture (no pun intended) and make a quick judgement. I did notice in the Leigh game just how much less time was spent umming and ahhhhing over it.

I would like to apologise to those who decided to watch the Leigh game. I was there, and it became unbearable to watch. As bad as Leigh were, the game itself doesn't feel the same anymore.

It's a right pain having to play the ball with your feet isn't it.
I thought the game was ok for first up in the season. Play the balls were a lot cleaner with a lot less wrestling and wriggling around in the floor.

I was flicking between leeds and Leigh. Bearing in mind all teams will be “ring rusty” (no, don’t go there) I thought both seemed ok. Salford were much better than I expected, Leeds can consider themselves lucky to have won that one and Smith is going to be worrying about his expensively assembled recruits but will be hoping they gel soon. Huddersfield seem to have some “togetherness” which they sorely lacked last season and Leigh will be wondering what might have been if not for ill discipline.
Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Leigh were poor, looked flat, and deserved what they got. The referee lost control of the game, & all these flying yellow & red cards all over the w/end will turn fans away in their droves. I haven't enjoyed any bit of rugby at all this w/end.
What's happened to The Super League Show? As someone who doesn't really watch many live games other than Wires, I enjoy the "round up" every week, but I've just looked it up on the iPlayer and there's no sign of it. Has it been scrapped, and if so is there another highlights show that I don't know about? I know there's been plenty of talking points in all the games with the cards especially, but I haven't seen a minute of any game other than ours!
