Lisone, Handley and Miller the pick of the team. Personally I didn`t think Bentley was that bad and closes down the oppositions attack a lot. Pack far too lightweight last night not helped by Donaldson playing prop which was a poor decision. I`m still in the Mikey Lewis camp for a halfback but we went for Croft and Frawley which according to most people are far better choices which I`m sure they are just down to what I like to see from a halfback. If Fusitua was playing with a bad knee last season why didn`t he have an op in the off season? 2 points just about deserved but thought Salford were more aggressive and their discipline let them down in the end. Rohan a bit too arrogant with his interviews I felt. Tomkins and McGuire excellent.

Anyway a wins a win, I knew it would take a while to really click and remember Rowley knows croft and ackers games inside out so will have based the game plan around that.
I disagree we looked like the 2023 side, there was a lot of movement and running lines, they just didn’t quite click.
Anyway first ‘home’ round one win since 2018, and i feel a lot more positive than last years opening game.
Agree about FC looking very poor, they will miss Clifford a lot. I may have over praised HKR but thought they just shut down the game in 2nd half and just kept FC at arms length , won 5 tries to nil in an away derby, Agree about Rowley as well. We had a bit of movement where Croft kept turning inside to Miller but I was hoping we may have changed our style a bit.
Only one game and Croft was a marked man but he looked like Sezer last night, mainly watching others with the ball.
Think next week is quite a test. Hope they don’t find a goal kicker

They haven’t got a goal kicker or a decent mangaing half
I’ve seen us look very threatening in patches already in the two games. We need some flow and some of our bigger bodies in the pack, but I still think we’ll have a better season.
Really disappointed with the Mom sin bin. You can call it a shoulder charge maybe but the arm was raised and I just think it was a good shot.

I know. I left the ground thinking happy in the knowledge that I'd watched a competitive season opener where both sides showed promise. I now realise I saw another coaching catastrophe. Smith should do the decent thing and resign immediately before KR put 50 on us.

Of course people will disagree and are entitled to their opinion as am I, I'm just saying it as I see it aswell.
I disagree about’major’ issues and I think we will see a totally different type of team than last year, I think we already are seeing that.
For starters we 100% lose that game last year IMO.
Every team will be rusty this time of the year and I personally think wins are more important than performance at the start of the year, you can improve performance but you can’t get the two points back.
It’s actually preferable to build into the year, look at Warrington and Wigan respectively last year, but we need to be winning when not playing at our best, and we did that last night, which we haven’t managed to do for a few years.
I do think we’d have lost that game last year. That’s by far the biggest positive. Doesn’t by any means suggest I think things are hunky dory or we can rest on our laurels.
