The majority of our 3 quater line didn't play. Our vice captain didn't play. We lost Cator 5 minutes in. We lost our captain our full back to head injuries. We got two sent off and one sin binned.
Tonight wasn't our night.
Long way to go. On to the next.
Bring on Burgess's boys. If his team play with the aggression he played with, they'll be down to seven men.

Hoy has to play FB when everyone is available, better than Walker in every department. Although given our other issues I'm not sure that's even an option because the halves were a mess too, and now Houghton might be out next week (not sure on the rules this year). I'd also suggest putting Okunbor on the wing because we are too lightweight in the back 3, but then what do you do in the second row? Absolute shambles. Hard to imagine a worse night, both in terms of the actual performance and what it means going forward.

This is the worst prepared and indisciplined Hull FC team i have seen for a long time with not a strike player in the squad. Three repeat sets and you dont look like scoring.Pathetic
Tony Smith has many questions to answer after that performance. If that's the best he can get out of this lot he'll be gone before easter. An utter shambles of a performance, completely devoid of anything resembling SL standard rugby league.
Can’t argue with that and unless there’s a significant improvement over the next few games I think his position as Head Coach has to be under serious scrutiny. Even taking into account to issues we faced before kick off and loss of Cator we looked miles off yet again.
Whats telling for me is that I don’t even feel that vexed off or disappointed anymore as it’s become such a norm and expected.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Thought Ashworth looked pretty handy. Martin also tried his heart out and expected him and Litten to get ran ragged defending together but they didn't do a bad job. Herman looked okay other than his yellow card. Good hard carries from him but a bit loose with the ball occasionally. Seen Okunbor getting some stick but looked at the stats and he was the top tackled in the game with 41. Made 13 from marker and missed 3. So defensively he worked really hard. Got wrong footed by Lewis but he's not the only player who that will happen to this year. 1 error and 1 penalty early doors from him. Needs to see more ball but I think there's something to work with on him.

I'm over it already as I don't expect anything else now.

well he is certainly not a half back thats for sure. Hoy is not a six in my opinion but maybe a better balance with him and Smith Just dont see Balmforth getting a run whilst Smith is in charge
