The bare truth of the 12 current SL clubs is represented by 2 clear divisions. Firstly there are 8 clubs in one section and 4 in the other with Wakefield now coming up on the rails.

Wigan
Hull KR
St Helens
Catalan
Huddersfield
Leeds
Warrington
Leigh
All make progress with significant benefactors that are not reliant on central funding and simply have cash to burn.

Then you have

Salford
Hull FC
Castleford
London

All 4 are significantly close to the tipping point. Salford may survive but more likely they will follow the same pattern as the Canadians.

As for Hull FC. The re-naming of the club and entries made on companies house allows the significant debt which is personally guaranteed by Mr Pearson to be refinanced to allow a further period of grace until they need to be settled. Good business only time will tell. Castleford have a new investor but like HullFC will not be an attractive proposition to be involved with at this stage. London well who knows where they are heading. Spending 50% of the CAP to hold funds back to regroup can only mean one thing.

Interesting article with Tan Kasler (City vice chair) on Hull Live, says he is frustrated with progress with the council at the stadium sports village plans (and also with Yorkshire Water over expanding the training site in Cottingham)

We all know what happened last time the SMC owner got fed up with the council, but the current set seem more sensible and calm.

Hull City board and owner are no different to Allams in their aims.
They want to mortgage the stadium if they could buy it and also develop Walton St with borrowed money.
Just like the Glaziers did at Man U

Here’s the thing - if it goes titts up , oh and it can quite easy , then the BANK owns the stadium and the training ground etc

Suddenly the money from the sale of the Kcomm shares in 2000 is ‘gone’ from Council ownership to the Bank and Hull FC will be charged millions to use the stadium by Administrators

Do not ever sell the stadium to Del Boy owners who only want to mortgage the shoite out of it because they never use their own money beyond a small deposit

I have lost interest

Can't imagine the Allams saying this about Pearson

"It would be unfair to ask Adam (Pearson) to do that because he's also trying to make his team competitive," he said. "Although it would have been amazing if they can throw some money in there, I never expected that. He and I are very good friends, all I want is for his team to be competitive and for the rugby club and football club to be the best entertainment in this city. It's not about us expecting them to do something. If they're successful it helps us anyway, that kind of revenue we'll generate we'll use it on the pitch and the development."

Good to hear about their friendship, sounds like things are pretty cordial then.

Nice comments.

But already a lot of brain dead comments I. The Hull Live comments...people can't seem to understand that if you rent you don't pay for one off costs at the stadium. Maybe these people pay for new roofs on their council houses etc...

Another interesting tidbit, on the article about City's accounts it says they paid £1.6m in rent at the stadium last season.

They also made a £21m loss but it's a case of speculate to accumulate for them after the Allams ran the club into the ground.
