Very encouraging, switched seemed to get flicked in the second half.
French’s weight is always annoying to me, obviously amazing player and man of steel but I always thing how good he’d be if he got in peak physical fitness.
I expected Keighran to cop a ban for the tip tackle (especially as he did the same thing in the grand final). Hopefully he can play against Penrith.
Hopefully Walters is okay. He shot out at one of their big new props, hopefully just a stinger.
Hookers were excellent for Wigan as was Dupree, Farrell, Hill and Mago.
RICHARDS IS SUPERMAN!!!!

If anybody noticed the team wearing black armbands today, this was in response to the sudden passing of Liam Marshall’s mum. My thoughts are with Liam, David and their family at this very sad time.
Excellent hit out, especially that 2nd half. Leeming, Mago, Smith, Field and Wardle among the stand outs but most acquitted themselves well. The young lads didn't look out of place and the Hampshire/Farrimond pairing looked sharp. Terrific options to have as backups.
Douglas seems a lot bigger than I thought and took both his opportunities well, albeit 1 ruled out for the forward pass.
I've got to say that Leeming looks good. Very good! I tipped him to go well and said I thought he'd be better than Clark this season. Only a friendly, I know, but all the signs were there and I didn't see anything to make me change my mind. I think the competition will be good for O'Neil too. He certainly seemed to go up a gear when he came back on after Leeming's impressive stint.
Walters out long term - exactly what you want to avoid in pre season. 2nd row is actually the one position we don't have too much depth in with Nsemba also out.
I think there's an argument to rest Willie Isa for the Cas game to make sure we have him for Penrith. The only back up option looks to be Chan but even he's not a natural backrower.

Bloody hell, rotten luck, the dreaded cyclists injury, up to 12 weeks if it's broken
