Couple of soft penalties conceded against 12 men leading to field position for Wigan from which Hampshire delivered a pin point kick for Farimond to catch and score under the sticks. Interesting that those two might find themselves in a Trinity shirt at some point during the season.

Great hands strips Wigans left edge for Franco to make a good break, Trinity force the drop out and then great hands again gets JM in at the corner for a hat trick of try’s on his Trinity home debut

Lights have gone out again for the umpteenth time and Kendall has ended the game after 60 minutes Probably the correct decision as it’s a potential danger to the players

As long as McGillvary can stop on the pitch this season he'll be giving Walmsley a run for money for most tries. He also brings the ball out of defense much more powerfully than Walmsley, who's a bit weak in that area
Whatever the problem with the lights it's ridiculous. I mean they've been up since the season just gone and since then we've had them on for games of football and other things and they'll have had to have been all tested together with the new stand before that could be opened up officially with WMDC approval. It seems strange and as Avenger said, embarrassing for them to go on and off like they did tonight at the official opening of the new stand. I can see them on most nights as i can see the glow from them when out walking the dogs at night, so I haven't a clue what the problem is. I know one thing though, come the start of the season, the owner will sort it out because he'll think it reflects on him, which it slightly does. but why tonight has it been so bad?

I’m guessing it’s an overloaded circuit somewhere, kept tripping a fuse and having to be reset every-time. It’s probably because the stadium was in full swing for the first time, hospitality, bars, floodlights, everything. The football won’t have tested it like that so haven’t triggered the problem
