Doubt this will happen but wouldn`t mind a back 4 of Byram, Cresswell, Cooper and Shackleton. Throw in the likes of Poveda, Anthony, Joffy, Josephs and Piroe and I wouldn`t complain. I reckon a 2-1 win for Plymouth.

Plus, any loan signing isn't guaranteed minutes at the moment. Most clubs and players want minutes for their loan players, and unless someone gets injured (it's likely, but not guaranteed) then most loan players are likely to be on the bench, and if so, I'm sure they prefer to be on the bench in the PL than in the championship

I can understand the frustration from a number of Championship Managers who say the January window is a nightmare. Like you have said PL teams want their players to get game time and not sit on the bench. Perfect example was that of Carvalho who would have been a great signing for us but we couldn`t guarantee game time. I`m sure we signed Spence with a view to him playing on a regular basis. So we must be able to guarantee a new RB coming in to the team will play more often than not. Whilst Gray has been great he is not imo a RB and depending on the severity of his injury we are relying on Byram and Shackleton who also have an injury waiting to happen.
