It looks good news for those of us who have Sky. All games to be shown via the TV each weekend (some had thought that games might be on Internet only). It will be a bit like Magic Weekend every weekend (well nearly) & I will have to get an extra cushion for my bottom. Cat v Wire on the Arena Channel in week one. Bring it on. But it can't be good for numbers at games.
I read they were showing all games for the first 15 rounds, so maybe after that it might go to other platforms. But i've read so many different things i'm not sure what is actually fully happening yet? Yeah if they do show every single game i will end up only going to a final if we get to one. But thats mainly because i go games on my own, so the atmosphere and buzz isn't the same for me anymore.

To much coverage may kill the game..imagine finishing work on a Friday night and sky offer up Salford v London...enough to make you watch Corry...going down the route of football...sorry not for me

I'd be surprised if anyone really watched the lot but the option is there & games can be recorded. Thankfully it's not compulsory.
Will be interesting to see the impact. I had hoped (from a finance point of view) that the games would be paid for, so bringing extra money in to the sport if Superleague set up their own platform to rival sky.
Personally I would always rather catch the game live (home or away) rather than watch on the box, but everyone is different. Hopefully the clubs will be able to mitigate lower attendances - if it happens - with increased sponsorship. Increased viewers should mean greater sponsorship income in theory.
Thankfully, lots (me too) prefer live games, but sometimes it can't be done & for those who live outside the area this is going to be great. I just wish Sky were paying more for this extra coverage & in fact they are paying less. Just a thought ... Sky is going to have to find some extra commentators / pundits etc.

Totally agree on watching live games, I try to attend them all, I also like that they are showing all the games so I record and watch them back later, many times as well

You miss so much if you only watch the live games ... as you watch the ball so much. Good to focus on what players are doing second time round.

Exactly and with all the garbage on telly it passes the nights away

I too record all the Wire games, and watch them live.
If we win, I will watch the recorded games several times, to absorb all the details.
If we lose, I will press the delete button immediately I get home and sulk for several days..........
