Some laughable comments on here and expected arrogance.

The Premier team in the Northern hemisphere on the back of one GF win in 5 years.

Beating Penrith in English conditions at home apparently is a bigger achievement.

Comparing the most successful team in SL and the 4 peat winners to Buster Douglas is laughable. Absolutely laughable.

And people wonder why I want Wigan to get smashed.

No Wigan fan on a Wigan forum cares that a St Helens fan wants Wigan to get smashed. All Wigan fans want St Helens to get smashed every week.

Google who Nathan Clearly thinks the premier team in the northern hemisphere is.

Beating a full strength Penrith side anywhere is a bigger achievement than beating their reserves yes.

4peat, woooow. well done. We probably would have won a couple if we played 2 seasons on our home ground too. It's a fraudulent achievement, and one that is now at the end of its mini era. The big dogs are back now, step aside.

They must have one hell of a Reserves team…

To’o
Crichton,
Leota
Fisher-Harris
Luai
Cleary
Yeo
May
Turuva
Kenny

The above all played in our game. Massively unfair to the rest of the comp if that is their Reserves team. Needs raising with the NRL I think.

We were a freak bounce of the ball from winning exactly the same number of titles as Saints over the last 6* years. Sobering thought isn't it?

*Funny how Saints fans only start the count at the beginning of their run. I wonder why?

totally agree with this, bugs me when people say it was a reserve team, virtually full strength

I'd say it's arrogance & laughable to think you're anything more than Buster. Penrith are a great team - a generational one even. Compared to them and their achievements in a tougher league, neither Saints OR Wigan stack up.

It's laughable that Saints fans somehow think they are at that level. Do you really think you're in that bracket of a team?

I also stand by my comment of saying that, playing this smarting Penrith team, will be more difficult than the one Saints faced. Lie to yourself all you want, but they didn't take it seriously. They'll be levels above on the 24th. It will be much harder.

Well that's a big turnaround. Yesterday you were pretending that you could have been swayed into wanting Wigan to win if only Wiganers had given Saints more credit. Now we see the real Stu, you want us to get smashed. At least this is honest.

I am not biased; I'm not bothered who beats St. Helens.

I couldn't give a rat's ass about whether Saints fans support us vs Penrith or not. In fact I'd rather they didn't.

If we win to go 'five stars' up then it makes the victory even sweeter.

If we don't, we remain on 'four stars' which is still more than them.

Why would any Wigan or St Helens fan care one bit about how much credit or support they receive from each other for their achievements?

How long do you think you will be the most successful team in the SL era ? also you are not that close to the most successful team in Rugby League history, you know the actual RL history and not just a portion. As stated more than once Penrith didnt know who St Helens were, but they sure know who Wigan are and will bring their A game to our place.
