Wigan Warriors are delighted to reveal that season ticket sales have now exceed the total number sold at the start of the 2023 Betfred Super League season, with eight weeks remaining until the start of the new campaign.

Wigan will open the new season in eight weeks time on Saturday 17th February away at Castleford before the World Club Challenge against Penrith Panthers on Saturday 24th February at 8:00pm at the DW Stadium, followed by the first home Super League game in ten weeks time against Huddersfield Giants on Friday 1st March.

Fans had snapped up over 7,000 season tickets as the deadline passed for supporters to retain their existing seats.

Wigan Warriors Chief Executive, Kris Radlinski said: “Achieving such a milestone ten weeks before the start of the season at home is truly wonderful. The Super League competition in 2023 was brilliant throughout, and capping it off with a Grand Final win made it particularly special for our club.

“It’s clear that this success has sparked excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead in 2024. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our loyal fans for their unwavering support. Wishing each and every one of you a joyous and healthy Christmas.”

Anyone who hasn’t yet secured their seat for the new season has until 5pm on Tuesday 2nd January 2024 to buy at the ‘Early Bird’ price.

With all the negativity around the game in general it’s great to see this kind of news, hopefully all the other clubs see positive numbers compared to last year too.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

Great to see. I think Wigan had around 10,000 season ticket holders at their peak attendance years in the SL era so hopefully we will start to get close to that figure again soon.

Just thinking that myself. 10k should be the goal over the next few years.

Good news and hopefully time for that figure to be pushed up yet. In the longer run, I agree we need to try and get it back towards five figures.

I think we’ve had the debate on here before about what could be done to get more people in and I think an offer to entice ex season tickets holders to come back at a price somewhere between the auto renewal and early bird costs would help. Maybe that sort of offer could be extended to people with a booking history of buying tickets to 5 or more home game in the previous season (or similar). That will then give people the opportunity to get them at the renewal prices in subsequent years.

Priority on tickets for the Robin Park gigs would work for me.

Maybe the club are holding off on WCC ticket details until after the early bird deadline.

And nearly sold out.

Looking good for the new season-
Good season ticket sales
player recruitment very good
off field interaction club-town/fans top notch
Tics no longer in in control of Stadium
Robin Park going from strength to strength
Feels like a new era is starting/started.
Whats not to like (although someone will find something)
