Well I do concede to your knowledge on this.
My thoughts on it being different is that concessions usually apply to a group legally or at least generally understood to be different. Ie. Children or OAP. Students are an extension of this as they are similar that the don't have a full time job.
I guess it's how it was written. If they'd said 'discount for under 30' I probably wouldn't have picked up on it.
