Agreed and with us now running a decent sized squad compared with previous years there should be no revolving door on the playing squad with players coming and going within weeks. That will help continuity and team spirit. If we need to plug any gaps the loan system remains available.

So, we’ve given out 23 numbers and have 4 players brought up from the academy and 2 trialists from Saints. Do you think that’s us? Getting all your signings done early isn’t as exciting as previous seasons . I think there’s room for 2 more. Where are we short? I think we need another prop. Possibly a 2nd row also

It's probably strong enough to begin the season if players aren't available right now. But they may also hold back a signing to announce nearer Christmas?
