Not confirmation, but sounds like a decision has been made on Deans part. Real shame as I thought we might be able to convince him to stay. Along with Corey, I can't think of many players that have had as much of an impact for us in such a short period of time.

That's a real shame - without them I very much doubt we'd be talking about us having a Superleague campaign to look forward to.

Bit surprised Hopi and Tyler turned down the bright lights but I suspect we’re all pretty relaxed about it.
Silva to Barrow. Don’t know what to say about that. It is what it is, but not signing Whare and Norman is problematic. They were clearly a significant catalyst for our moving from decent Championship side to champions. If we were still in the Championship I think most would feel we had done good, if limited, business in strengthening our squad. If we have bagged some like for like replacements of SL quality I think the club might want to announce that now. Proof of the pudding is in the eating but we look a little undercooked.

A couple of years ago we assembled a L1 squad for the Championship. This year seems like we are assembling a Championship squad for SL. And let's face it, without the likes of Whare and Norman we were a pretty average Championship side.

Gus Mackay we salute you!!

Last one I can think of was Jamie Soward.

Thought we might've been in with a shout of bringing Silva back and he would've added something for sure. Teams seem to be back in the pre-season grind now, so you would assume the squads are very close to being settled. Not sure where many more signings would be coming from, unless we have a few up our sleeve as you say.

If the strategy is to wait for Elite 1 players to free up, then we might be disappointed. Doesn't seem to be a massive amount of experienced overseas talent this season. Limoux have the ex-Melbourne prop Schonig, who looks like he's going well and could probably make the adjustment to SL. Other than that it seems slim pickings.

Knowing as we do that without some major skullduggery taking place in the IMG Points means Prizes debacle, I can't see any decent SL player fancying a 1 season sojourn in London. Very hard to put yourself as an ambitious young player in the shop window if your team is being battered weekly.

I hope I'm wrong, but don't see too much in the squad building to suggest we will trouble many sides this year. It must be very hard psychologically for the players knowing no matter how well they play or where they finish, the future seems to be set. The same probably would have applied to Fev or Bradford if they'd won the Championship too.

League Express reporting Brenko Lee is staying put down under and won't be joining a SL club

They are pushing STs , training has started. It’s logical to assume this would be a good time to announce new signings. I’m assuming they haven’t because there aren’t any. Looking again at the You Tube video I suspect many of the new players are actually academy step ups. There is one older big guy with a beard, look of Olsi K about him. He’s possibly a new signing....or not. I assume they announce the other retainees and the academy step ups in one batch at some time. Or not. As for those who have left I suspect we’ll never hear again in the style of Dixon, Curran etc etc. Plus ca change. Sigh.

I noticed that guy too, isn't it Hughes' son?
