Post subject: Last Permanent signing ahead of 2024 Championship campaign

The title is a paraphrased line (due to word count) of what was mentioned in the article announcing we had signed Tyler Hepi.
The words 'permanent' and 'ahead' caught my eye for being rather specific.
Do we think last of the permanent signings is a hint to one or more season long loans and or dual reg? I'm assuming this does not refer to any signings (loan or otherwise) made throughout 2024 as these would not be ahead but during.
Do we think this also rules out trialists in the friendlies (often a source of excitement imo as they add an element of the unknown) because while a trial contract itself would not be a permanent signing any successful trial would result in one so presumably this would rule them out?
