Excellent news! Not complaining but I just wonder why we couldn't have spent a little bit more money in the years we were in League One to get us into the Championship sooner.
The current squad is starting to look good enough to make the top eight - avoiding the bottom six. I'm sure we'll all be happy with a season without any relegation fears, then press on from there.

I know I have been gone from here for a while was convinced we would never get anywhere with the current set up and was honestly fed up with us getting bullied in the forwards season after season with seemingly no improvement or change.
A friend reached out and convinced me to give them another go around the time we got the loan signings and I watched the play off games online had already decided I was going to give it another go for some games next season, saw our signings and was pleased we seem to be addressing the forward issue with the likes of Matagi, Pauli and presumably more to come.
Had pretty much made up my mind to get a season ticket but this was the signing that took me from getting one sometime before the 30th to I need a season ticket now.
Had been joking with my mate about us signing him as he was unsigned and we needed another hooker but honestly he was my dream/fantasy pick when you start thinking about who is available never expected this over the line and for 2 years too.
Jaw hit the ground when I saw the announcement 2 years ago this guy was pretty much Hull's only attacking threat as far as I could tell, he might have fallen out of favour this year but this sort of quality 1st year back in the championship is very unexpected.

Whilst i agree the squad is shaping up nicely and finally we're showing ambition I'd definitely take finishing 1 place above the relegation places right now, that might seem a bit negative but if we were to go straight back down that could knock the stuffing out of us for another 6 or 7 years. We have a massive chance of creating something good and if we can improve year in year out and keep adding the quality like we have done I'd be very happy.
