But where does that leave us in cover? Edgell and Lumb for fullback, and Sinfield in the halves? Then we are back to half a team reshuffle if Frawley and Croft are both out?
Leeds must need the cap space for a big signing. There is no other logical reason to let him go.
Most clubs would be in team reshuffle territory if your fist choice halfbacks are out to be fair.

Surprised and a bit sad he’s gone. Not a great organiser but filled in at hooker and full back really well , to slow to play fullback now . More money on salary cap available, I think it could be Sutton ?

Maybe he’s decided to step down a league and out off the lime light due to the horrendous abuse he gets, from opposition fans so much so Police involved. I saw a ton of abuse aimed at him after the horrendous spear tackle against Wakefield, that somehow it was his fault/diving.

Good luck to him. I'm sorry to see him go. Always gave 100%. Terrible at halfback but transformed his Leeds career when he moved to Fullback and he became a crucial part of our attack. We looked a much better team when he was playing.
Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.

Expected this really, he's going into the final stages of his career and wasn't going to be first choice in any position. In fact we have plenty of options to deploy without needing to sign a direct replacement, it's time Edgell and Co got their opportunities in case of injuries. It also helps to get a wedge off the cap and probably means we can now bring in that Prop that will be much more important than a reserve grade jack of all trades and master of none.
It's been a rollercoaster for Myler, with some great highs and some tough lows. I hope he enjoys the move and that people now leave him alone.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

He's been a great servant to the club in a difficult time, but turning 34 mid season it makes sense (as Batley points out), especially now that he's not first choice. He would have been great back-up for full-back, less so for the halves with Sinfield in the wings (and Johnson/Smith at a push).
Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the recruitment pans out.
