We all want that (or at least 99% do), just don't see any issue with having a bit of optimism, as I've said and the post you seem to have ignored, if you don't like the pre season stuff that comes from the club, then just stop following them on social media.
I'd say more fans would be annoyed if the players went into radio silence then gave up some updates and predictions, as others have said some fans read into headlines rather than read the context, Hoy's comments last year been a prime example.
