Maher leaving is the right move for me and why we signed him on a 2 year deal in the first place is beyond me but that is history now. I just hope we are trying to sign John davies. Matthew shaw as wrote that Bradford have been in talks with him and they will not be the only ones but Maher leaving should free up some cash so we will just have to wait and see. Also some retention news at 7pm today will everybody as expected stay or could some be moved on to free up some cash for new players.
On the retentions think McComb deserves to stay and wouldn't be at all surprised if its him tonight; think Maizen still has the potential with his pace to be good for us, especially if Walmsley leaves. Afraid Larroyer has been a good servant to the club and while think he will likely be retained would have preferred to freshen up the pack with a younger forward - so not Davies for me, even though he's been great in the championship for years. Would gave been happy with Sutcliffe - as mentioned above several clubs are recruiting strongly including Doncaster where Sutcliffe and others have ended up. And of course their half backs will look very familiar - and will no doubt have a blinder against us.
York have announced Bailey Antrobus as signed a new 2 year deal bugger on that one. And Mick gledhill as said that Maizen is going to Whitehaven next year would of liked to of kept him but hey ho.
McComb confirmed for another season. Solid player who can cover multiple positions and will never let us down. Looks like he will get a chance to nail down a wing spot this season.

I am not in any inner circle of knowledge and only know what is reported on by the media services or people here, As Wakefield have signed McGilvery where does that leave Walmsley?, cannot blame a player for wanting to better himself and play at the highest level possible, however with some people stating his desire to leave, can there be an outcome that benefits all without leaving a sour taste? It may come to pass as the transfer window is still wide open and a long time before the season starts that another club could seek his services, or can Finn convince him Fax will be challenging for seemingly pointless honours this next season.
My Humble Opinion Only - let the knockers begin.

Walmsley showed last season that electric pace = tries.
The only other player to get anywhere near him for speed is Maizen, so it's depressing that we've been outbid by a team who had the begging buckets out a few months ago.
Unless we start to announce some exciting new signings then I can see a similar, if not worse, season than the last.
Agree about Maizen ( and he's reportably a bit quicker than Wombat ) and don't shoot the messenger but I've been told we weren't out bid but the club ( including the incoming coach ) thought he hadn't done enough to be retained so looked at other options. He had a couple of other interested parties including Haven, another Champ club and one from Union.
Wouldn't say who they / these other options are but on Jake I hoped we would keep him.
Walmsley to be decided one way or the other soon apparently which being another back would have an effect on the above.
In general though they need to get on with the recruitment announcements as expectation soon turns in to frustration / speculation.

Would have liked to see Jake get a chance on the wing, think he could have filled the void left by Walmsley (Would be very shocked if he stayed).
I don't believe we currently have the players to make up the bucket load of tries that Lachlan scored so the next few player announcements will be crucial.
Frustrating to see proven championship players, and players dropping from SL, going to a lot of other clubs whilst we appear to be treading water. I'm sure Liam and the club know what they are doing though.
I’m not feeling good about our recruiting at the moment. We have championship and championship 1 clubs signing the Fev players that have been released we seem to be loosing our better players and nothing coming in. This squad didn’t make the play offs this season we won’t have any hope next if we don’t start signing xxx❤️
